We, at Changing the Game for a New Generation, Inc. are looking to provide fun, productive, and safe activities this SUMMER 2019 for our youth. Our focus as a not for profit organization, is to interfere with the cycle of youth crimes in the community. As we’re sure you are aware, when the school year ends, the majority of youth have little structure in their daily lives. Therefore, It is quite easy to succumb to temptation and end up making unsafe choices and participating in criminal activities. When the youth are occupied with positive activities, such as this type of event, the community benefits as a whole! We believe that youth violence and criminal activity is NOT the exclusive concern for only certain neighborhoods, it’s a community problem. What affects one, affects all. The crime statistics for the Tri-County area (SEMINOLE/OSCEOLA/ORANGE) are staggering. Therefore, we are extending to you a special invitation to be a part of a solution. Because we believe that our children and youth are our greatest agents for change, we invite you to be a part of a community in-reach, designed to engage our youth. So this summer, on three different dates and at three different venues, we will engage our youth on the basketball courts. We have invited law enforcement and firefighters to meet them at the courts to talk, to listen and to play.
